Kenyaian opposition leader and Presidential candidate Raila Odinga claimed massive fraud during Tuesday’s Presidential polls. However, the country’s Electoral Commission has denied opposition claims that IT system had been hacked in order to manipulate the poll results.

Chief electoral officer Ezra Chiloba told media that the systems were not compromised at any point. He said this after presidential candidate Raila Odinga rejected provisional results indicating a strong lead for President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The opposition’s claim led to sporadic outbreaks of violence. At least five people have been killed in post-election violence after opposition leader Raila Odinga claimed “massive” fraud in the voting.

It may be recalled that, violence after the disputed election 10 years ago left more than 1,100 Kenyans killed and 6,00,000 were displaced.
