The BJP today announced the third list of its 59 candidates for the ensuing Karnataka Assembly elections.
Former Speaker of Karnataka assembly KG Bopaiah will contest from Virajpet, while sitting MLA NY Gopalkrishna who had recently switched to BJP from Congress has been fielded from Kudligi.
The names were finalized by the Central Election Committee of the party. The party has changed its candidate from Kolar gold fields and has given ticket to Ms S Ashwini. With this, BJP has announced names of 213 candidates. The elections to the 225-seat assembly are scheduled on 12th of next month
