BJP Chief Amit Shah today accused Siddaramaiah led Congress government of bringing down Karnataka in all parameters. Addressing a press conference here on the second day of his Karnataka visit, the BJP president said there is corruption galore in the state under Congress government.
As part of his second-day tour in Election bound Karnataka, he is visiting the family of farmer who committed suicide due to crop loss in Srirangapattana.
He thereafter interacted with organic farmers. He will address Shakti Kendra Pramukhs Samavesh of Mandya today. Later in the day Amit Shah will interact with silk cacoon farmers.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is campaigning in his constituency Chamundeshwari on the third day today. JD State President H D Kumaraswamy is addressing party workers in Davangere today. Both Congress and BJP have lodged complaints with the election commission for model code of conduct violations.
Complaint is lodged against Amit Shah for allegedly paying a check of five lakh rupees to the family of diseased RSS karyakartha Raju yesterday and Siddaramaiah is accused of dropping two thousand rupees in the puja chali of a temple yesterday.
Karnataka is heading towards an aggressive election campaign. Strong, severe and sharper criticism against opponents on social media has become a norm. The political parties are focusing on target audience instead of only public rallies.
The State Electoral Office in the state is enforcing model code of conduct. Control rooms with helplines, check posts with CCTV and GPS tracking, flying squads and observers are already in place. SVEEP activities are carried out to create awareness about voting and about VVPAT that is being used in the state for the first time.
GIS-enabled database of polling station and digital atlas of the polling stations are completed for the convenience of voters to locate their booths.
BJP chief condemns killing of BJP and RSS workers in Karnataka
BJP President Amit Shah expressed anguish over the repeated harassment of BJP and RSS worker in the state. Addressing the media in Mysuru, the BJP president has assured that the culprit will be punished if BJP comes to power in the state. Shah is on a two day tour to Karnataka these days.
BJP president Amit Shah on Friday visited the Suttur Math at Mysuru in Karnataka and met the math head Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji. Senior BJP leaders Ananth Kumar and BS Yeddyurappa accompanied Amit Shah. Amit shah also visited the famous and historic temple at Nanjangud.
