Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa has executed a cabinet reshuffle today. The order approved by the Governor shows that the additional charge of the Health and Family Welfare department has been given to Medical Education minister Dr. K Sudhakar.
The portfolio of Health and Family Welfare was held by B Sriramulu earlier, who is now given the Social Welfare department. The Deputy Chief Minister Govinda Karjol who held the Social Welfare department earlier, has now been given the Public Works department. Public Works was earlier held by the Chief Minister.
Speaking to media persons today, the minister for Medical Education and Health and Family Welfare departments Dr. Sudhakar said that his priority will be to contain mortality rate due to Covid and make Covid treatment accessible to all.
