Karen Khachanov has lifted the Paris Masters Men’s Singles title with a stunning win over world number two Novak Djokovic.

In the title clash last night, the 22-year old unseeded Russian defeated Djokovic in straight sets, 7-5, 6-4 to end the Serb’s 22-match unbeaten run. With the victory, Khachanov has become the first Russian since Nikolay Davydenko in 2009 to win a Masters 1000 title.

31-year old Djokovic, a 14-time Grand Slam champion, will still overtake Rafael Nadal at the top of the world rankings today.
