Three persons were killed after they were caught in a snow blizzard near Khooni Nallah in Sadhna Top area of Kupwara district in Jammu & Kashmir. Official sources said that six residents of Karnah were moving on foot from Kupwara town to Karnah when the blizzard hit the area last night when the storm hit.
Three of them went missing while the other three reached Sadhna Top safely and informed the police and the army about the persons swept away in the storm. When the security forces reached the spot, they found three persons had died due to cold.
The road from Kupwara to Karnah near Line of Control is closed for traffic for past few months due to heavy snowfall and bad weather.
