Prime Minister Narendra Modi has strongly condemned the killing of BJP’s Jammu and Kashmir leader Ghulam Mohammed Mir who was shot dead by terrorists.
In a tweet, Mr Modi said, Mir’s contribution towards strengthening the party in the state will always be remembered. He said, there is no place for such violence in the country. The Prime Minister also extended condolences to Ghulam Mohammed Mir’s family and his well-wishers.
Security sources said that unidentified gunmen shot and injured BJP leader Ghulam Mohammad Mir at Nowgam Verinag area in Anantnag district. Sixty years old Ghulam Mohammad was working as district president of BJP in Anantnag district. He succumbed to grievous injuries at hospital. No terrorist outfit claimed responsibility for the attack.
Amit Shah too condoles killing of Ghulam Mohammed Mir
BJP President Amit Shah has condoled the killing of party leader Ghulam Mohammed Mir from Anantnag in Jammu and Kashmir. In a tweet, Mr Shah said, his contribution in strengthening the BJP in the Valley was immense. He said, extremist forces in Kashmir cannot demoralise its workers with violence.
