A teenager was killed and 32 others were injured today in a grenade attack in the crowded general bus stand area in the heart of the city, officials said.
This is the third grenade attack in Jammu bus stand since May last year, viewed by security agencies as an attempt to disturb communal harmony and peace in the city.

A grenade blast at General Bus Stand in Jammu today left one dead and 32 persons injured. The condition of the three of the injured is said to be critical.
Police sources told media that the grenade blast took place inside the General Bus Stand premises in the heart of Jammu city around 12 this noon. The injured were rushed to nearby GMC Hospital.
Security forces have cordoned off the area and search operation has been launched to nab the culprits. More details are awaited.
“The police is working on all the leads. We are collecting evidence and we will hunt them down,” a police officer told reporters.
The attack comes a week after the Indian Air Force carried out air strikes on the biggest terror camp of Jaish-e Mohammad in Pakistan’s Balakot. Jaish has taken responsibility for the February 14 attack, surprising security forces who said the group’s top order in the state has been wiped out.
With Jaish claims that the suicide bomber in Pulwama was a local terrorist, the security forces have been hunting for other members of the cell.
