An unidentified militant was killed in an encounter in Parray Mohalla area of Hajin town in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Security sources said that Army and SOG of J&K police launched cordon and search operation early morning today. As the security forces zeroed in on suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces triggering encounter. In the ensuing gunfight, one militant was killed. His identity is being ascertained. There was no report of any damage on forces’ side.
