An Indian Army jawan was killed in Pakistani firing in Poonch sector along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir today. A Defence spokesperson told media in Jammu that the jawan was killed when Pakistani soldiers initiated indiscriminate and unprovoked firing on Indian Army posts in the area in the afternoon.
The Indian Army also responded the firing appropriately and effectively. The martyred Jawan has been identified as Sepoy Deepak Jagannath Ghadge, who hails from village Borgaon, Satara district of Maharashtra.
