Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Girish Chandra Murmu has said that his administration is working in the direction of giving jobs to 30 to 40 thousand youth in police and other forces.

He said that steps are being taken to accelerate the process of recruitment for the youth. He was speaking at the Passing Out-Cum Attestation Parade of the 14th Basic Recruitment Training Course (BRTC) held at Police Training College, Manigam, Ganderbal yesterday.

While lauding the sacrifices of Jammu and Kashmir Police, the LG said the force is doing a commendable job in ensuring law and order and maintaining peaceful environment in the region. He said that J&K Police has faced all the challenges very boldly adding the role of Jammu and Kashmir Police is phenomenal.

Referring to various schemes Lt. Governor urged people to avail the benefits of the welfare schemes of the Government. He said that several projects have been listed as languishing and assured that his administration is taking every possible step to complete all such projects.
