Four terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir this morning.
Security sources said, a cordon and search operation was launched by the forces at Daramdora village in Keegam area in the wee hours after receiving inputs about the presence of terrorists there.
As the forces tightened the cordon, the hiding terrorists opened fire, triggering an encounter.
The identity and group affiliation of the slain terrorists are being ascertained. Arms and ammunition have also been recovered from the encounter site.
Combing operation is now being held in the area.
