Two policemen have been killed in two separate terrorist attacks on Sunday in Jammu and Kashmir,.
In one attack at famous Alamdar e Kashmir Sheikhul Alam Shrine at Chrar Sharieff in Budgam district, one policeman succumbed to injuries in the hospital.
He has been identified as Kultar Singh. He was injured after unknown terrorists attacked a police post guarding the revered shrine this afternoon.
However, there was no report of any damage to the Shrine or any other property in the Shrine premises. Security sources told media that terrorists after carrying out the attack, decamped with a service rifle (SLR) of the policeman. A manhunt has been launched by the security forces to nab the attackers.
In another attack a policeman guarding residence of Hurriyat Conference (Mirwaiz) leader Fazal Haque Qureshi, was killed after unknown terrorists attacked him in Srinagar outskirts on Sunday.
The terrorists also decamped with his service rifle at Soura area in Srinagar outskirts.
Official sources said that after the attack, the police guard, Farooq Ahmad Yatoo was shifted in critical condition to hospital where he succumbed to injuries.
No terrorist outfit has claimed responsibility for the attacks so far.
