Two unidentified militants were killed in an encounter in central Kashmir’s Budgam district today. Defence spokesman told media that the anti militancy operation was launched in Chadoora area of the district this evening. As the security forces reached the suspected spot the hiding militants opened fire indiscriminately triggering gunfight.
In the ensuing encounter two gunmen were killed. There was no report of any fatal or non fatal casualties on the forces’ side till now. The identity and the affiliation of the slain militants is being ascertained.
