Two Army jawans were washed away while taking bath at Baba Parh Nallah near Air Force Station Udhampur, last evening.
According to the reports, two Army jawans of 14 EME were taking bath in the Nallah at village Kawa, near Air Force Station Udhampur when they suddenly slipped into deep water and drowned.
The deceased were identified as Vinod Singh and Anshul Kumar, jawans of 14 EME.
Meanwhile in an RTI reply,the Home Ministry has said that at least one incident of ceasefire violation by Pakistan has been reported daily along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir in last two years in which 23 security personnel were killed.
It also said that 1,142 terror incidents were reported in J&K between 2012 and 2016 in which 236 security personnel and 90 civilians were killed.
The ministry said that in the same period, 507 terrorists were killed in encounters.
