24 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in last 24 hours including death of a patient in Hazaribagh district in Jharkhand. With this, the total number of people tested Corona positive in the state so far has gone up to 1,920, and eleven people have succumbed to death due to COVID-19.

The active caseload including those in hospitals and isolation centres presently stands at 696.

Meanwhile, a total of 62 persons were discharged from hospitals and COVID-19 care centres after recovery yesterday.

With a total of 1,213 people winning the battle against COVID-19, the recovery rate in the state further fares to 63.17 per cent. Five districts in the state – Dumka, Godda, Deoghar, Sahibganj and recently added Pakur are left with no active COVID-19 cases remaining.

So far, 115186 samples have been tested in the state, and the mortality rate is as low as 0.57 percent in comparison to the national average of 3.33 per cent.
