JD(U) today announced that the party would soon approach Vice-President and Chairman of Rajya Sabha Venkaiah Naidu for termination of membership of the House of its estranged leader Sharad Yadav.
Principal General Secretary of JD(U) K C Tyagi said that Mr Yadav had participated in a rally organised by RJD without any due permission from the party.
It did mean that Mr Yadav had quit JD(U) on his own and was actively participating in the event organised by other party, he noted.
Mr Tyagi said as per provision of anti defection act, any leader deserting the party voluntarily, would lose the membership of the House, he belongs to.
Mr Yadav was elected to Rajya Sabha on JD(U) ticket and he had not right to participate in a rally organised by RJD without any permission from the party, he said adding that JD(U) would approach soon the Chairman of Rajya Sabha for termination of membership of Mr Yadav.
