Janata Dal (United) president Sharad Yadav today criticized the industrialists who have launched a signature campaign, urging lawmakers to run Parliament. Mr Yadav told media persons that the industrialists should focus on their business rather than dictating the lawmakers. He said, Parliamentarians need not take sermons from them on how to run Parliament.

Replying to a query that NIA will not challenge the conditional bail granted to main accused of Samjhauta Express bombings Swami Aseemanand, he said, such a decision will encourage terrorism and the law must be equal for all.

 

Industry leaders online drive urging MPs to end Parliament logjam
A signature campaign to end the on-going stalemate between Opposition and Government in Parliament, has been launched with top captains of industries urging the lawmakers to allow both the Houses to function. The on-line move, probably the first of its kind in the country’s history, was made on Saturday asking the Parliamentarians to discuss, debate and decide.

Since its launch the petition on change.org has been signed by leading industry captains such as Rahul Bajaj, Gopala krishnan, Pawan Munjal , Adi Godrej, Kiran Majumdar-Shaw and other top industrialists . The petition signed by them says Parliamentary paralysis can lead to weakening of India’s democracy. Industrialist went on saying that both the opposition and the government in Indian Parliament have an important role to play and have the responsibility to discuss and resolve political issues. They also underline the importance of GST and its link to the country’s growth.
