Senior BJP leader Information and Broadcasting Minister M Venkaiah Naidu today accused Bihar ruling combination JD(U)- RJD of shedding crocodile tears over Dalit atrocities issue in Gujarat.

In a series of tweets, he asked the two parties to tell the people why the Bihar government failed to bring perpetrators of the several massacres of dalits to justice in the state.

Mr. Naidu said, in the past Bathe, Miyanpur and Bathanitola massacres, a total of 113 dalits were killed during RJD President Lalu Prasad’s tenure as Chief Minister, but all the accused, who were convicted in lower court, were acquitted by the High Court.

The Minister also questioned, what action JD(U)-RJD government has taken in the recent atrocities on Dalits reported from Muzaffarpur and Darbhanga areas. Mr. Naidu asked them to explain why not even a single Dalit found a place in the 90 law officers appointed by the Bihar government. Earlier, Lalu Prasad had questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s silence over the Gujarat atrocities issue.
