Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satyapal Malik has said that Industrial Training Institutes will be set up in each district to impart skills to the youth and give professional training.

Addressing a Press conference in Srinagar yesterday, he said that 50000 vacancies will be filled up in various government departments in next few months. He also announced that 50 new degree colleges and 5 new medical colleges will be constructed in addition to 1 ITI in each district. The governor also said that NAFED has agreed to provide over 5000 Crore rupees to procure apples from the farmers which will benefit more that 7 lac apple growers.

Governor Malik said that restoration of normalcy and deepening of democracy remained the government’s priority and as a first step, elections to Block Development Councils would be conducted and completed before the end of October. However, he also cautioned the people to be to mischievous and motivated rumours being spread to disturb peace and cause disaffection.

Meanwhile, following Governor’s announcement to provide relief to people to open up mobile phones in all 10 districts of Jammu Division, Mobile phones have started functioning in all the districts of Jammu division barring area of Banihal. Meanwhile, case has been registered against 5 people in Rajouri under sections 153-A of the IPC, & 66-B of the IT Act for putting sensitive posts on social media. According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Rajouri anyone who attempts to disturb peace will be dealt with strictly.
