Union Home Minister Amit Shah in a reply to a letter from Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said, the government has already assigned the work of operating COVID Care Centre to the ITBP.

Earlier the Delhi Chief Minister had asked for deployment of doctors and nurses from ITBP and Army at the 10 thousand bedded COVID care centre in Chhattarpur.

Mr. Shah informed, that , large part of the facility will be operational by Friday as per the discussion held in the meeting with the Delhi Chief Minister earlier last week.

Home Minister also informed that a one thousand bedded full-fledged hospital with 250 ICU beds in the National Capital is being developed for Covid patients by DRDO and Tata Trust.

Mr. Shah informed that , Armed Forces personnel have been deployed for providing medical care and attention to COVID patients in the COVID Care Railway coaches in the city.
