TEHRAN: Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Saturday called for formation of fact-finding team to re-examine the September 11 incident to prove that that was work of terrorist groups and this requires collective contribution of the US administration.
The Iranian president on Saturday called for re-examination of the “black box” of the September 11 incident to help reveal missing facts. He made the remarks upon arrival at Mehrabad International Airport.
A few people regards themselves as governor of the world and speak on behalf of all governments as well as world nations, he said.
The era of global hegemony is now over, he said while addressing the US statesmen.
Global problems have roots in the current management of the world by big powers who have plundered the wealth of nations through colonialism and salivary, he underlined.
To attain their sinister goals, they chant false slogans under the guise of freedom, human rights and democracy, but the fact is that the world s now witnessing unprecedented waves of wars and conflicts.
Unilateralism has given the opportunity to certain individuals to trample upon rights of other nations, he said, adding that the current global management is cruel and inefficient.
“I had previously written a letter to the UN secretary-general and explained in length about the Sept 11th incident based on which they put pressure over countries in the Middle East region to trample upon their legitimate rights,” he said.
“You have created the September 11 to deal with those who seek independence,” he said.
‘Under pretext of campaign against terrorism, you occupied Iraq and Afghanistan and are now bombarding people in Pakistan without any justification or logical reason but to justify your presence,’ he said.
‘The Iranian nation is among the victims of terrorism and has always fought the phenomenon but will never let you target the entire region as well as Muslims under such unclear and vague pretexts,’ he underlined.
“We believe that the world will be at the service of pious nations as well as people in the Islamic Republic of Iran,” said the Iranian president.
The Iranian President wound up his one-week visit to the US and returned home Saturday (IRNA)
Ahmadinejad remarks is offencive: Obama
Meanwhile US president Obama has termed the Ahmadinejad remarks as offencive. in an interview to BBC Persian Obama said :" it was offensive. It was hateful. And particularly for him to make the statement here in Manhattan, just a little north of Ground Zero, where families lost their loved ones, people of all faiths, all ethnicities who see this as the seminal tragedy of this generation, for him to make a statement like that was inexcusable".
