Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has said that Indian Railways have received an outlay of one lakh 37 thousand crore rupees capital investment support. This outlay was announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman while presenting the Union Budget 2022-23 in parliament today.
Briefing reporters in New Delhi today, Mr Vaishnav said, 400 new generation Vande Bharat trains will be developed during the next three years. As a part of Atmanirbhar Bharat, two thousand kilometers of network will be brought under Kavach, the indigenous world-class technology for safety and capacity augmentation in 2022-23. The Minister said, one Station-One Product concept will be popularized to help local businesses and supply chains.
