About 100 Indian companies including Mahindra and Mahindra and Tata Group will present their best practices in sustainable development while introducing a ‘Corporate Vision on Climate Change’ at Paris CoP 21 Climate Summit next week. It is being organized by TERI’s ‘Council for Business Sustainability’.

Senior Director of TERI, Dr. Annapurna Vancheswaran said that the initiative ‘Reinforcing India’s Commitments’ is for communicating corporate India’s approach towards opportunities to address the issues with regards to climate change.

He said that a compilation of corporate best practices with special focus on national initiatives will be presented on the sidelines of CoP 21 addressing roles, actions and vision of
businesses.

The vision document will emphasise on various themes important to achieve a low-carbon and climate-resilient future which includes improving the efficiency of energy use, expanding the use of renewable energy, ensure water availability in climate, and efficient waste management.
