The two Indian clerics, who were missing in Pakistan, will arrive in New Delhi today. In a tweet, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj said she yesterday spoke to Syed Nazim Ali Nizami in Karachi. He told her that both of them were safe and will return to Delhi today.
Pakistan had conveyed to India on Friday that the two missing clerics had been traced and were in Karachi. Earlier, Mrs Swaraj spoke to Pakistan Prime Minister’s Adviser on Foreign Affairs, Sartaj Aziz, regarding the case.
Syed Asif Nizami, the head priest of Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia Dargah, and his nephew Nazim Nizami, had gone to Pakistan on the 8th of this month.The main purpose of the visit of 80-year-old Asif Nizami to Pakistan was to see his sister in Karachi.
