India has made extradition request for fugitive businessman Vijay Mallya to the United Kingdom High Commission. Briefing media in New Delhi this evening, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup said the request for Mallya’s extradition, received from CBI, has been handed over today to UK High Commission in Delhi. He said India has an extradition treaty with Britain and that there is a legitimate case against Mallya.
