HANOI (AMN) India and South Korea have decided to do civil nuclear cooperation agreement. The Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh and the South Korean President Lee Myung –Bak discussed the matter here on Friday. South Korea is the ninth country with which India has finalised the pact.

National Security Advisor Shiv Shankar Menon said that the two Prime Minister reviewed their bilateral ties and found considerable progress in the relationship since President Lee visited India as the Chief Guest on Republic Day.  

The two sides have already agreed on the Comprehensive Economic Agreement. He said that considerable progress has also been made in cooperation in civil aviation and space, and several areas. He said that the economic ties are also moving forward steadily. Menon said that the two leaders discussed G20 issues. The South Korean President stressed the need for putting a mechanism in place for systematic implementation of the decisions so that they are carried forward over several years. Both agreed that they would work together in the G20 to that end.
