In view of the current regional situation, the Embassy of India in Qatar has issued an advisory urging all Indian nationals in Qatar to take due care. The Embassy, in its advisory, has asked Indian nationals to follow news and advisories as and when issued by the Embassy and local authorities. The advisory stated that the Embassy is continuing to function as usual. The Embassy requested Indian nationals to follow the emergency alert sent by local authorities in the interest of public safety.
It also urged everyone to stay away from the vicinity of military sites and stay inside buildings, whether in homes or elsewhere, and not to go out or move except for the utmost necessity to avoid exposure to any risks. Meanwhile Qatar’s Ministry of Interior said on Saturday that the security situation in the country is stable and safe following today’s attacks on the Iran, adding that there are currently no indicators that would warrant concern over domestic security.
In a statement, the ministry said specialised security agencies are monitoring developments around the clock through an integrated field and operational system, in coordination with relevant authorities, to maintain public security, ensure the safety of citizens, residents and visitors, and guarantee the continuity of services without any impact.
The ministry urged the public to rely on official and approved sources for information, warning against rumours and messages from unknown sources, and calling on people not to share unverified videos or reports.
It added that any updates would be communicated in due course through its official channels.

The External Affairs Ministry has advised all Indian nationals in Iran to exercise utmost caution, avoid unnecessary movements and remain indoors as far as possible in view of the developing situation.
