India’s Home Minister Rajnath Singh today stressed on international cooperation to curb and stop the menace of drugs. Inaugurating BRICS heads of drug control agencies working group meeting in New Delhi, Mr Singh said, drugs and narcotics substance are global challenges and much needs to be done to stop the problem.
He said that the highest illegal money comes from the trade of drugs and narcotics. He said, drugs are not only a serious threat to the person’s health who takes it but also to the society and its stability.
As India will assume Chairmanship of BRICS in October this year, more conferences and workshops will be organised to deal with the menace, informed Mr Singh.
