India today thrashed Bangladesh with an inning and 130 runs within three days of first Cricket Test at Indore today, riding on one of the most hostile fast bowling performances in recent times.
Bangladesh was bowled out for 150 in their first innings.
India bundled them out for 213 in the second innings after declaring their first innings on their overnight score of 493 for six.
In both the innings, Mohammed Shami hauled 7 wickets, Umesh Yadav 4 while Ishant Sharma took 3 wickets.
Ravichandran Ashwin’s haul of 5 wickets helped pacers creating havoc taking wickets at regular intervals.
The victory also gave India 60 points, and they strengthened their position in the World Test Championship table with 300 points in their kitty.
The thrashing Bangladesh also completed a hat-trick of innings wins for them, having beaten South Africa in the second and third Test in the previous series.
The second Test will take place in Kolkata from 22nd November as the first Day and Night game.
