India’s Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar today said that his country attached highest priority to its relationship with China and was committed to further develop the ties.
Mr.Parrikar who is on a five day visit to China made the remarks, while holding talks with his Chinese counterpart Gen Chang Wanquan at Beijing. General Chang hoped that Parrikar’s visit will improve strategic mutual trust between the two armed forces. Earlier, Parrikar was accorded a ceremonial welcome at the headquarters of the Chinese military by a contingent of People’s Liberation Army(PLA) soldiers.
Mr. Parrikar will also call on Premier Li Keqiang. Later, he would visit China’s recently integrated western command military headquarters which has jurisdiction over border with India.
