India will formally join Missile Technology Control Regime on Monday.
Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar will sign the instrument of accession in a ceremony to be attended by the MTCR chair troika, France, Netherlands and Luxembourg.
The Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR), which was established to prevent the proliferation of missile and unmanned aerial vehicle, will officially induct India into the group on Monday.
MEA Spokesperson Vikas Swarup said that India will get full membership of Missile Technology Control Regime, which is the result of continuous effort that India has made in recent years.
On the issue of India’s bid for NSG membership, MEA Spokesperson said there are some processes which take long time, but yield positive result.
