Normal life has been adversely affected in several parts due to incessant rain in many parts of Madhya Pradesh. Shipra, Narmada, Betwa, Kalisindh and other rivers are in spate at several places. Temples at Ramghat in Ujjain have been submerged in Shipra.
Several trains are running late and some have been diverted as the tracks have been submerged near Nagda in Ujjain district Water has been released from local dams in Indore, Ujjain, Vidisha and some other places.
At least five rain related deaths have been reported from different parts of the state. District authorities have declared a holiday for schools in Indore Ujjain and Vidisha .
