The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a heavy to very heavy rainfall spell along the West Coast and many parts of northeast and east India and Uttar Pradesh in the next five days. Isolated, very heavy rainfall is also likely over Uttar Pradesh today, as well as on the 10th and 11th of this month.

The Met Department said there is a likelihood of extremely heavy rainfall in Uttarakhand today. Isolated heavy rainfall is very likely over Bihar today and tomorrow and over Odisha tomorrow. Assam and Meghalaya are also likely to witness rainfall today, as well as on the 10th and 11th of this month.

The IMD has also forecast extremely heavy rainfall over Konkan and Goa today. Fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning is very likely over Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Kerala and Mahe, Lakshadweep, and Coastal Karnataka during the next five days.
