Union Home Minister Amit Shah has appealed to the youth to come forward for achieving the target of 100 per cent vaccination. He also appealed to the youth to take to the needy people, the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Ann Yojana of 5 kilogram free food grains. The Home Minister was speaking at the felicitation ceremony of the donors at Raj bhavan in Gandhinagar, who had contributed for the kits of essential goods for one lakh frontline Corona warriors. Mr Shah said that the fight against the COVID-19 had shown the might of the people, which should be continued in future also.

Under the ”Corona Seva Yagya” abhiyan launched by Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat, Raj Bhavan had distributed one lakh kits of essential goods to the front line Corona warriors. Meanwhile, the new cases of COVID-19 in Gujarat are constantly decreasing. More from our Ahmedabad correspondent.

“Gujarat recorded 32 new cases of Covid19 yesterday. According to the state health department, 262 patients recovered during the last 24 hours and were discharged from the hospitals. Total 8 lakh 13 thousand 399 patients have been recovered from Covid19 in Gujarat till now. The recovery rate further improved and reached up to 98.68 percent. Maximum 9 new cases reported from Ahmedabad. One person died due to Covid19 in the state during the last 24 hours. Gujarat has now 801 active cases at present, out of which 7 patients are on ventilators. Meanwhile, 2 lakh 54 thousand 759 persons have been vaccinated in the state yesterday.
