Modi govt is committed to improve the quality of life of the people of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, says Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah today dedicated series of developmental projects at Silvassa the headquarters of Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli.

Mr. Shah also laid the foundation stone for education hub at Zanda Chowk and Tokarkhada in Silvassa which will come up at the cost of Rs.61 crore.

This will cater to the educational needs of more than 15 thousand students, which accounts for 27 per cent of the total school students of the union territory.

The Project includes a paramedical Institute building at the cost of Rs 8 crore.

Home Minister also flagged off mobile vans for delivering Mid-day meals to school children. It will be operated by Akshaypatra Foundation.

Mr. Shah also inaugurated the Youth Hostels at Silvassa. He also launched the Shram Yogi Prasad Scheme on this occasion. Under this scheme industrial and construction workers will get nutritious breakfast and meals at subsidized rates at their workplace on a regular basis
