The High Commissioner of India to Bangladesh Pranay Verma paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman today, underscoring efforts to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries. During the meeting, both sides discussed avenues for enhancing bilateral engagement, with a particular focus on people-centric cooperation across multiple sectors. The discussions were aligned with the national development priorities of both nations.
According to a social media update by the Indian mission in Bangladesh, High Commissioner Verma conveyed India’s intent to work closely with the government and people of Bangladesh through a positive, constructive, and forward-looking approach. He emphasised that future collaboration would be guided by principles of mutual interest and shared benefit. The meeting reflects continued diplomatic engagement between Dhaka and New Delhi, aimed at deepening cooperation and fostering regional stability and prosperity.
