Heavy rain lashed Hyderabad city and its outskirts last evening bringing much needed relief to people from heat. Secuderabad, Khairatabad, Begumpet, Kukatpally, Ameerpet and other areas witnessed heavy rainfall. The highest rainfall of 93.3 mm was recorded in Khairatabad while Sheikpet recorded over 87 mm.
In view of rains, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy asked officials to be on alert.
As per the Hyderabad Met Centre, thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and gusty winds at 40-50 kmph are very likely to occur at isolated places in above 15 districts of Telangana.
