Met office forecast good rainfall in the country

Moderate to heavy rainfall is expected during next 3-4 days in more parts of central and north Bay of Bengal and some parts of Northeastern States as the Southwest Monsoon is likely to advance into these areas, MeT Department said.

The Southwest Monsoon has been active over Kerala. Heavy to very heavy rain is very likely to occur at isolated places in coastal Karnataka during next 24 hours.

Heavy rain is very likely to occur at isolated places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, south Konkan, Goa and Kerala during the period.The India Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rains in Goa tomorrow as the monsoon is expected to reach the coastal state.

Goa Meteorological Centre Director V K Mini said ,the conditions are favourable for advancing of the monsoon and it will set over Goa tomorrow.

Dust storm or thunderstorm is very likely to occur at isolated places over Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Punjab, Vidarbha and east Rajasthan.

Heat wave conditions are likely to prevail at a few places over west Rajasthan, and at isolated places over east Rajasthan and west Madhya Pradesh during the period.

The highest maximum temperature recorded over the plains was 46.5 degree Celsius at Churu in western Rajasthan.
