Odisha continues to reel under intense heat waves as mercury levels soared to over 45 degrees Celsius in some parts of the state today. Boudh and Baripada towns of Odisha recorded 45.2 degrees Celsius, the highest this summer. As many as 13 cities in Odisha have recorded more than 43 degrees Celsius.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted the scorching heat to tighten its grip further over Odisha until Monday.
