Haryana Cow Protection Act comes into force with President Pranab Mukherjee giving his assent to the Bill. Haryana Cow Protection Bill was passed by Haryana Assembly in March this year with voice vote.
Both the Indian National Lok Dal and Congress parties had supported the Bill.
