The 11 portfolios allocated to JJP chief Dushyant Chautala include the excise and taxation, development and panchayats, industries and commerce, and food and civil supplies departments.

The first expansion of Haryana Cabinet took place today as 10 more ministers have been inducted in the cabinet.

Haryana Governor SN Arya administered the oath of office and secrecy to them at the Raj Bhawan in Chandigarh.

The BJP emerged as the single largest party in the recent Assembly polls. But, it fell short of six seats to form the government on its own.

The party and the JJP, which secured 10 seats in the polls decided to come together to form an alliance government in the State.

Mr. Khattar was sworn in as the CM for the second time on October 27. While JJP’s Dushyant Chautala took oath as Deputy Chief Minister of the State.

The government now has eight BJP ministers besides Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar (65), who is at the helm for his second consecutive term.

The saffron party’s post-poll partner and alliance partner Jannayak Janta Party (JJP), a defector of the state’s once prominent regional outfit Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), got lone minister Annop Dhanak along with Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala, 31, in the government.
