ujarat has so far recorded 34.60 percent of the season’s rainfall. South Gujarat has recorded the highest of 37.71 per cent followed by Saurashtra with 33.26 per cent. More than 120 Talukas in the state received light to moderate showers in the past 24 hours.

In its recent forecast, India Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rainfall in Valsad district of Gujarat today. As per the forecast, heavy rains are very likely in isolated places of Valdsad district today which will be followed by light to moderate rains across the state till 31st July.

In view of this, eight National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams have been deployed across South Gujarat and Saurashtra region, while seven have been put on reserve. Besides, 11 teams of (SDRF) have been put on alert.
