Gujarat Police Anti-Terrorist Squad has claimed to have arrested Nasir Rangrez, a key accused in 2008 Ahmedabad serial blasts. He was arrested from Belagavi in Karnataka last night.

Sources said, Rangrez was picked up during a late night operation and taken to Gujarat. Rangrez had figured in the investigation into the blasts. He is believed to be a part of Indian Mujahideen.

State police had arrested one Alamzeb Afridi recently and his role into this case is being probed.
21 blasts ripped through Ahmedabad in a span of 70 minutes on 26th July, 2008 in which 56 people were killed.
