Police have arrested over 50 hooligans involved in recent rioting incidents in Khambat town of Central Gujarat. Many houses and vehicles had been burnt during the violent incidents which erupted in various areas of Khambhat town and nearby villages since last Sunday.
According to police, the total five cases have been lodged in this connection and more than 50 persons have been arrested for violence and rioting incidents. Police said that combing operation is still on.
Meanwhile, Minister of State for Home Pradipsinh Jadeja has said that Disturbed Area Act would be implemented in Khambhat. He said that some antisocial elements are trying to disturb the communal fiber of the society.
