The drive was launched jointly by Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Mr Mukul Wasnik and Union Minister for Human Resource Development Mr Kpil Sibal in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan and National Bal Bhawan at a function here.
Speaking on the Occasion, Mr Wasnik said that the main objective of the drive is to sensitize young generation so that they are not trapped in the menace of drugs.
The HRD Minister, Mr. Kapil Sibal called for a multi- pronged strategy in collaboration with all stakeholders to deal with the menace of drug abuse .He said that children, adolescents and youth are most vulnerable of the drug abuse and educational institute have to be step up to check substance use.
Over three thousand people participated in an Anti Drugs run in the national capital to create awareness about the challenges of drug addiction. The participants carried placards asking people not to involve in drug abuse.
