The Ministry of Mines organised a Special Webinar for Startups, MSMEs, and Individual Innovators working in the Mining and Metallurgical sector to explore avenues for advancing research and innovation in mining and mineral processing.
The Promotion of Research and Innovation in Start-ups and MSMEs in the mining, mineral processing, metallurgy and recycling sector was launched in November last year to fund research and innovation in start-ups and MSMEs. Jawaharlal Nehru Aluminium Research Development and Design Centre, Nagpur is the implementing agency for this initiative. The Ministry said, fresh proposals have been invited under this initiative and the deadline is the 30th of April.
It said, preference will be given to Startups and MSMEs of the North East region and women-led enterprises. The Webinar was inaugurated by the Secretary, Department of Science and Technology, Abhay Karandikar.
