NEW DELHI: The Home Minister P Chidambaram on Wednesday made it clear that that the three interlocutors appointed for Jammu and Kashmir have been given free hand to interact with all shade of people in the state. He said that their interaction with people would help in finding a political solution to the vexed issue. Replying to a question from the media P Chidambaram said there was a political problem and a political solution has to be found.
The Home Minister said that the brief of the interlocutors was to hold widest consultations in the state, meet a very large number of people belonging to different sections and every shade of opinion on how to find a political solution to the issue.
"There are no red lines. Their main brief is to chart a course towards a political solution. All the rest is in aid of a political solution," he told media persons.
The three interlocutors Dileep Padgaonkar, MM Ansari and Radha Kumar met Chidambaram on Tuesday.
