UNION Minister of State for Agriculture Purushottam Rupala has said that the government is expecting record production of kharif despite the loss in some areas due to rain.
The Ministry of Agriculture has already started preparations for the upcoming Rabi season. He was speaking to media on the sidelines of National Conference on RABI Crop in New Delhi today.
Mr. Rupala said that the his government under leadership of Prime Minister Modi is committed to double farmers income by 2022. He said that Rajasthan has seen a threat of locusts but at the moment there has been no damage. He said that to deal with this, the government has come up tight and the surrounding states have also been warned.
