Congress President Sonia Gandhi has expressed concern over the security situation at the border and said there should be a coherent policy towards Pakistan.

In her address at Congress Working Committee meeting in New Delhi today, Mrs Gandhi alleged that government cannot make up its mind on what it should do regarding Pakistan.

The Congress President said, NDA government withdrew its anti-farmer amendments due to sustained campaign by her party.

Targetting the Centre, Mrs Gandhi said the economy is on a downward slide while prices continuing to rise. She said, integrity of vital institutions of the country are being systematically eroded and writers and progressive thinkers physically eliminated.

Alleging that the NDA government is controlled and directed by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Sonia Gandhi said, it has become clear that most of the promises by Prime Minister during poll campaign were hollow.

The CWC meeting underway at party headquarters is being attended by senior party leaders including Rahul Gandhi, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, A K Antony, Ghulam Nabi Azad and Mallikarjun Kharge.
